DHA (Dubai Health Authority)
Before applying to medical jobs in Dubai, you need to pass the DHA Exam, a nationwide examination for healthcare professionals license administered by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). They only allow the best professionals in Dubai, in order to maintain the quality healthcare system and safety of the public. After successful assessment they allow you to practice in Dubai & the DHA license is valid for one year, after which you need to renew it.
MOH (Ministry of Health)
It is a medical license exam conducted by the Ministry of Health UAE which entitles the holder to practice anywhere in the 5 emirates apart from Dubai & Abu Dhabi. Medical professionals can make only a total of three attempts to pass the examination, after that they won’t be allowed to apply for MOH examination. In order to obtain the MOH license, the eligibility test as well as the verification procedures should be cleared.
HAAD (Health Authority of Abu Dhabi)
Health professionals that would like to start a medical career in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi are required by law to sit for the eligibility exam conducted by Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD)
and pass before they are qualified to work. A HAAD license is valid for 5 years from the date of passing the HAAD exam & the medical license must be current and valid during a health professional’s practice.
Prometric Examination – Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain
All healthcare professionals who want to run a medical practice in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain taking the eligibility examination is a priority requirement. You should prove your proficiency by passing corresponding qualifying examinations and it varies with respect to the countries that are applying for.
For acquiring healthcare professional licensure in Oman, you should clear the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB), and The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) in Saudi Arabia, Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) in Qatar.
